Firetime Fridays
This past year it seemed that my husband and I were always working. We had to really make the effort to have some “us” time. So we started “Firetime Fridays”. Once every fourth Friday after we put the kids to bed, we give ourselves 5 minutes to meet in the living room. I go grab our favorite blanket and turn out all the lights in our home. My husband grabs a bottle of cabernet, two wine glasses and our Diana Krall cd. We meet in the living room, light a Pine Mountain® firelog in the fireplace, cuddle up on the couch under the blanket and listen to our music. Rainy Day Campfire
Two years ago I decided to take my boys on their first camping trip. They were really excited and couldn’t stop talking about it the entire week before. We set off early on that Saturday morning and had made camp by about 2pm that afternoon. All was going great until a freak thunderstorm blew in. The boys and I made cover in the camper for about two hours. After the storm had stopped everything was soaked. I had hoped to make a firepit and teach the boys how to make s’mores, but I couldn’t find any dry wood anywhere. The campsite next to us didn’t seem to be having a fire problem at all. I walked over to see if they had any dry wood. They didn’t. But what they did have was an extra Pine Mountain® Firelog that they gave to me.
